Chesterton Academy of Buffalo partners with the Niagara Frontier Christian Athletic Association, an independent Christian High School league. All athletic programs are run by dedicated volunteers.
Chesterton Academy’s House System is drawn from the 1,000 year-old tradition of Christian education exemplified in the colleges at Oxford and Cambridge. The Houses provide real, tangible community within the larger school, giving students the opportunity to take ownership, fulfill the call to leadership and to cultivate the ideal conditions for virtue. Each House has a Prefect, a Junior prefect, and a faculty advisor.
Chesterton encourages students to not only participate in at least one club and/or activity, we welcome students to create new clubs annually.
At Chesterton Academy of Buffalo, creativity takes center stage! Our rich art program nurtures each student’s ability to see and create beauty, with hands-on training in drawing, painting, and sacred art. Every student also participates in our annual drama production—an exciting tradition that brings literature to life and builds confidence, teamwork, and joy. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, students discover their God-given talents and have a blast doing it.
Pilgrimage to Italy Students at Chesterton Academy of Buffalo have the opportunity to join fellow Chesterton students from across the country on a life-changing pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi. This unique experience, offered in select years, deepens students’ faith as they walk in the footsteps of saints, encounter the beauty of Catholic tradition, and grow in friendship and spiritual formation.
